Who is responsible for your information?

Simo’s Gift Boutique is operated by Simona-Alexandra Chirila, a sole trader. For UK data protection purposes, Simona-Alexandra Chirila is the data controller.

Information we may collect

When you contact us, we may receive your name, telephone number, email address and the contents of your message. When you place an order, we also receive the delivery and billing details, order information and correspondence required to process and support your purchase.

Card information is entered directly into Square’s secure payment form. Square processes the payment, and Simo’s Gift Boutique does not receive or store your full card number or security code.

Why we use your information

• To respond to questions and provide customer support.
• To process, deliver and manage your orders.
• To manage cancellations, returns, refunds and complaints.
• To keep accounting and transaction records required by law.
• To prevent misuse and protect the security of the shop.

Depending on the reason, we rely on taking steps at your request or performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business.

Who may receive your information?

We only share information where it is needed, for example with Square for payment processing and order records, Royal Mail for delivery, website hosting and technical service providers, professional advisers, or public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

If you contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes information under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, to deal with disputes, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Messages that are no longer needed are deleted securely.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy in a portable format. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first if you would like us to help with a privacy concern.
